A nurse call system can be used in locations such as doctor's surgeries, hospitals or nursing homes to summon the help of staff when a patient or resident becomes distressed or requires urgent assistance. Remote call units can be wall or ceiling mounted, these allow remote hand held units to be connected enabling local reassurance to be provided. Signals can be sent to a remote panel for viewing or direct to belt mounted recievers worn by members of staff. A wide range of indicator units and callpoints are available to ensure that all systems are designed to suit each individual application and the clients budget.
Warden call systems provide sheltered housing and elderly or disabled residents with constant reassurance that help is only a moment away, from a call unit located inside their home linked directly to a manned control centre. These can be wired as a complete system with a common radio communicator installed within the sheltered accomodation, or separate stand alone units, each transmitting its own signals direct to the control centre. We are able to extend most existing systems and interconnect these with other security systems such as fire and access control systems.
Detectalink also install self contained alarm systems for installation in disabled toilets and bathrooms. It is a requirement of Part M of the building regulations that any WC or bathroom specifically designed for use by the disabled, is fitted with an audible and visual warning system to alert staff or other occupants of a building that someone needs urgent assistance.
